New plants for free...

New plants for free! About nine months ago I was given a trailer load of free Agapanthus clumps. I sliced them into divisions to mass plant, and deliberately threw the remaining root clumps under the boundary hedge to 'percolate'.

A very useful plant in my garden.

Yeay! Now the root balls are doing exactly what I wanted - they are re-sprouting.

Friday 24th April

So I spent the afternoon slicing the new pieces off, then planted them in the garden on the side of the Frisbee Lawn. Nice work. Also did something ever so slightly naughty - weed-killed a very invasive grass which was growing madly in the interior. Needs must.

 Keeping me company again.

Naughty again - haven't cleaned up in this garden for some years. Was very happy initially with the spread of the self-sown trees, which blocked out views of next-door. But now they've really gone mad, almost without me noticing. Yeay for the chain-saw!

Endure complete neglect?

No part of any garden should have to endure complete neglect, yes? Will clear more and plant more Agapanthus - one session per week should do the trick. And Non-Gardening Partner has promised to thin out those trees.
