Only wind?

Wattle Woods Path
Today the wind is roaring. It's horrible and very dusty outside. But it's only wind, right? So if I find a spot which is semi-sheltered, without too many big trees, I should be OK for a couple of hours? Hmm... Maybe not in the Wattle Woods...
Have already put the hoses on. Will go and shift them first. Non-Gardening Partner says it's suppose to rain tonight when the southerly comes through. Yeay for rain!
Later...
Did two sessions trimming oak sprouts and weeding around the edges of the Stumpy Garden. Had a bit of a bird day. First a sleek brown boy pheasant ran for his life across the lawn in front of me. What stunning tail feathers! Silly bird.
Then a gang of black and blue pukekos (New Zealand swamp hens) arrived under the Leyland hedge, keeping at a safe distance. A baby pukeko, not so brainy, lost them all and ran up and down the lawn shrieking.

Hello bird!
Pulling out Cleavers by the waterside garden bench, up hopped my tame blackbird, almost getting under my feet to find worms and grubs to feed a squeaking (and full-sized) baby. Such dedication! The bird equivalent of stocking up the fridge for a hefty teenager.
Took lots of photographs of flowers and other assorted pretty things. And my blackbird, happy to pose thoughtfully, standing on the remains of the willow tree stump.
