Proper rain...
The most wonderful thing happened yesterday. It really rained! Proper rain, vertical rain for ages, leaving huge puddles on the driveway and giving the garden a good soaking. Phew! Perfect timing (the irrigation pump is being fixed at the moment).

Summer Hydrangea
So much more seems possible in my garden when it rains. For example, the garden area below the glass-house is ready for more replanting. And I know exactly what I'm going to buy.
Woo hoo! Rugosa roses. A great idea, since the whole area is now much more sunny. I must promise to water them, if the rain doesn't.
Much later...
I've had a wonderful day. First of all Non-Gardening Partner kindly drove me to the country library to get some books. I'm happy reading online, but I do prefer something real, papery, and portable.
Came home, zoomed out into the garden. To be specific, into the middle of the Hump Garden. I crawled around, removing Campion and digging the tops off Alkanet. Avoided sitting on and squashing the emerging Dahlias. Just kept on going.

Left My Mess Behind
Heard some noisy baa-ing. Ignored it. Then some very noisy baa-ing. Oops. Saw sheep (not ours) munching on my Frisbee Lawn. They clattered off down my driveway. Managed to sneak around them, shut the gate to the road, then expertly (ha ha) herded them around the edges (sheep do not 'do' hypoteneuses) and into my front paddock. Eek! Eight random sheep wandering around my garden eating things!

Pretty Daylily
Rain on my camera!
Then it started to spit with rain, so I left all my mess on the lawn, zoomed over to the washing line, grabbed my dry clothes just in time.
Yeay! I'd remembered the washing! On the way back to the house saw THE most beautiful daylily in flower by the pergola. Ooh! Must take a photograph!
Back in the house the rain drops were getting a lot louder. So where was my camera? Oh no! Remembered I'd hung it up on the pergola - yesterday. Zoomed back outside, retrieved it (it still worked). So lucky!
