How good?

Pretty Dahlia
How good am I? This morning I removed three more huge loads of periwinkle mess from the Shrubbery. I also dug out some unhappy dahlias. I am on fire! Like my bonfire, which is burning merrily...
Had time at the end of the day for another hour and a half. Two more loads dug out while I listened to the Women's cricket (New Zealand playing South Africa). Dumped the mess on the bonfire, came inside to cook and clean myself up. Am so happy.
Thursday 19th March
Right. My car boot is full of bags of horse manure (which is a bit stinky, oops). I've already driven across town to pick up my reading glasses (left them at a rehearsal last night, silly me, need them). Here's the plan : embed in the shifted Astelia, put the hose on, and then start replenishing the Shrubbery soil with assorted organic matter. Oh, and dig out some more periwinkle. All in a good day's work.
Four hours later...
All done, and a part of the stone retaining wall rebuilt. It looks sooooooo good! Should have fixed this up ages ago, oops. I mixed up the stinky manure with sandy soil, leaf mould, and compost, and managed to get the front of the Shrubbery garden much more level. Hope my dogs don't get the urge to roll in the manure, as dogs do.
Also dug out heaps more periwinkle, have taken it to the bonfire. Winnie the dog was exceptional gardening company, lolling in the (clean) dirt beside me.

The Shrubbery Stone Wall
This evening I have to go out to take a one-off choir rehearsal (am helping out). Last week I was crowing that Thursdays were my 'don't have to do anything' days. Hmm. Spoke too soon.
