Red Daylilies
The Stumpy Garden is a leafy, shrubby, green garden, but a most beautiful red flowering plant grows here. Pride of place in mid-summer is taken by a clump of large flowered red daylilies.
Red Large Flowering Daylilies
To think that I dug these out, mistaking them for the orange species ones, and threw them under the Leyland hedge to eventually turn into compost! I didn't realise until over a year later when I noticed the vibrant red flowers struggling in the shade under the hedge. Oops! I rescued them just in time.
Favourite Red Daylily
I planted them alongside the path from Willow Bridge so they would always be noticed.
