RIP Minimus

Smiley Cat Cup
It's cold, with wintry sleet, almost snowing. I am back from the vet. Sadly, I've laid Minimus (my lovely little grey cat) to rest in the garden by the cottage, with chopped up forget-me-nots sprinkled all around her.
Tuesday 25th October
But how life goes on. While drying off in front of the log-burner, one of the Freds arrived at the door, soaked, crying to be let in.
My dogs then barked at some imaginary scary intruder/alien, or whatever bored dogs inside on a cold day bark at. It sounded really serious! Made a cup of coffee in my smiley cat mug. Smiled back at it.
I miss my Minimus. The cottage feels odd without her on the bed, or waiting at the door to be let in. I miss her so much. So often I would walk over to the cottage just to say hello to her (or, in those last worrisome weeks, to check that she hadn't disappeared).

RIP Minimus the Cottage Cat
Yes, life goes on. The Fred cats love eating Minimus's Memorial Fancy Feast Ocean Fish Pate. Black Buster, when told she was now senior cat, flicked her tail and danced off down the hallway. Not the reaction I was hoping for! And silly Speckles has gone AWOL again. I would appreciate some of his company in the middle of the night - even if he's in a hissy mood.
