Back to bed...

New Camellia Garden
Friday was a go back to bed and sulk day (with my raging head cold). Tried to do some gardening - only lasted an hour. Not feeling well enough. Only had one gardening idea - to dig out the Hostas from the Car Layby Garden and replant them near the Septic Tank Garden's archway. Humph.
Secret business...
Snug and sniffy in bed in Pond Cottage, I heard some secret mallard duck business going on in my pond. Checked it out - one female, two males, ferocious paddling and squawking, while a trio of singing bellbirds in the trees high above whistled encouragement. Go girl, go!
Saturday 16th August
Had to cancel my jazz choir's afternoon gig - first time ever. Went back to bed for the morning to snooze and sneeze, then out into the garden for two hours. Felt a bit better. The new Camellia garden is looking a bit better. Just needs a bit more planting, and spreading of horse manure. Still have lots more Lamium to clear up.
Sunday 17th August
Head colds are soooo annoying. Almost as annoying as digging out Lamium, hee hee. And raking up the mess, both of which I am about to do.
Six hours later...
I must be feeling better! Because six hours in the garden is epic! Lots more Lamium is out - the reason this removal is taking so long is that I've decided to clear a much larger area than the Septic Tank Garden. Lamium shows no respect for boundaries like paths or open fences.

Some of the Pelargonium Cuttings
I've pruned more hydrangeas, and pointed at small tree branches to be sawn down (thanks, Non-Gardening Partner and chain-saw, for doing this for me). I've potted up all my Pelargonium cuttings in seed raising mix. Only six horse manure bags are left now to spread.
Happy-tired...
I am completely happy-tired, looking forward to eating my evening meal, and drinking some cold Kombucha. Yeay!
