Indoor self-discipline...
When it's rainy, some indoor self discipline is required. I cannot just mooch and slouch around, or fall asleep in a chair. I have garden photographs to process, Bach and Albeniz to play on the piano, dogs to walk, cats to feed. And I've started the December jigsaw - yeay!
Pebbles the Dog
2000 pieces, tourists on a canal in Venice, a million miles away from me, from living here, and the from the things I like doing. I'm so sorry. I've never been a tourist in Venice, and never want to be one. Spring flower meadows in the Swiss Alps might be more tempting...
Silly thought...
Aha! Silly thought. I could do things alphabetically : A for Albeniz, B for Bach, C for cats, D for dogs, E for easy as! Then the jigsaw and the photographs, which are mainly of roses, roses, and then more roses, hee hee.
Much later...
Tried playing Albeniz but my senile cat Lilli-Puss kept leaping up. Albeniz requires a lot of crossed hands, impossible with a cat on one's lap. Gave up after ten minutes and sat in one of the breakfast chairs - the perfect place to cuddle a cat with issues. Right?
- Lilli-Puss :
- Lilli came back after six years missing. She's fourteen years old.
Wrong! As soon as I became totally available, Lilli lost interest in me and wandered off. But by now the mental damage was done, and Albeniz felt far too hard to tackle. Fell asleep with my book open and my reading glasses perched on my nose. So much for self-discipline, I reckon!
