No need to panic...

President Roosevelt Rhododendron
The gardening mind panicking at 4am : Oh no! I need to trim the Miscanthuses. And I need to prune the roses I saw today in the Hump garden. Aargh! The roses!
It continues : The roses on one side of the Herb Spiral Garden need to be shifted. The Hump Garden roses all need a few dollops horse manure. So do the President Roosevelt rhododendrons. Eek! And it's time to mulch the paths. Aargh! The paths! Should I block off the one that goes nowhere and is never walked on? And what about the weeds?
The garden mix for my veggie garden arrives today. But should I dig the whole of one side of the Herb Spiral Garden for a potato patch? Help! I'll have to dig out the Bergenias and the Dahlias. But they're not happy anyway. Where would they be happy?
There's more...
And there's more : Right now, immediately, I need to sow some seeds. Where are last year's left-overs? Can't find them. I need lettuces, cornflowers, pink lavateras. And I need to take cuttings of Lupins and Scrophularias, also dig up and divide the Heucheras.
Eek! I need more horse manure. Every time I drive past some I must stop and pick up a few bags. And I must barrow loads and loads of mulch onto the Hump Garden to stop the weeds. Aargh! The weeds! I noticed lots growing in between my recent Agapanthus plantings. I need to sit down and pull them carefully out.
And I've just remembered - there are two more Miscanthuses by the water race. This means I'll definitely have to crank up the bonfire. So I should drag all the dry mess over from the fence-line. Aargh! That's at least a week's work. Help!
And I must remember to enjoy all the spring flowers. I need to sit in the garden, and walk around all the different borders. But will I have time to do this?
Much later...
So I went singing instead, then my lovely friend shouted me lunch for my late birthday. She was so kind, listening to my garden panic ramblings, nodding wisely. On the way home I bought some seeds. Then I worked in the Hump Path for three hours. Pruned some of the roses. Burnt my mess.

Spring View
It all went really well. No need to panic at all! Silly me!
