Variegated Apple Mint
In the house border of the Jelly Bean Border I grow some variegated Apple Mint, underneath a neighbouring red Berberis shrub. This mint is not too invasive, and although it spreads out via runners it is easily cut back.

I love the contribution that variegated plants make in my garden - and even the smallest, like this mint, are much loved. It makes a great contrast with the red Berberis shrub which towers above.

One season I successfully had some variegated Apple Mint planted in a terracotta pot. This was a very nice look, and safer, too. - just in case that mint got any invasive ideas...
