This month's features
1. Roses or Rhododendrons?
Here's a question I don't expect there's an answer for. But it's fun in my garden when the first roses overlap the rhododendrons.
2. Freedom Gardening
Join me in my new 'No-Scary-Lists' Gardening Policy.
3. Glamis Castle Rose
One of my latest David Austin roses is welcomed to my garden.
4. Peak Season Garden Tours
It's good for gardeners to visit other gardens - isn't it?
5. Sharifa Asma Rose

6. Plants of the Month : My 'New' Recycled Roses
They're a motley bunch, and don't have names - lots of recycled roses are enjoying their new garden home in the country.
7. Animal of the Month : Histeria the Tabby
Dear Histeria, Hissy for short, is one of the unsung feline heroines in my garden. She hardly ever even gets her photograph taken!
8. Garden Quote : On Being a Bargain Hunter
Do you love shopping at Charity shops, plant sales, and the like? Here's some wisdom which bargain hunters could well take heed of.
9. Garden Gallery : Cecile Brunner Rose
This pretty climbing rose is covered in tiny beautifully formed flowers.
10. Forum Focus : Roses in Vases
Roses have even taken over the forum pages this month. Enjoy the recent pages in this topic.
11. Gardening Advice : Plants Waiting Patiently
Take my advice, if you dare!
12. Searching for Moosey : ornamental ginger
- ornamental and ginger
- I don't grow any ornamental gingers in my garden. Some are on the banned list, and others need a more tropical climate. But I do have an ornamental garden gnome, with a beautiful ginger beard! You'll find his picture right at the bottom of this journal page...
13. Coming up this month : A Mid-Summer Christmas.
December is my watering month, with hot sunny days and a mid-summer Christmas to look forward to. Have a happy holiday season, enjoy your Christmas, and dream lots of wonderful garden dreams.
Cheers,
