Belgravia Gardens
Belgravia Square is one of the most exclusive key-holder gardens in London, surrounded by embassies and diplomatic residences. The 4.5 acre square is a luxurious private garden, with a secluded central area to escape the city.
The central part of the garden is an oval, with a gravel path around the edge. Past the tennis courts and a play area, the lawn is flanked by a summer house, and rose-covered pergola. Plants include large plane trees, wisteria and passion flowers.
Opening the Gates
For the open weekend, a jazz band was playing in the summer house, and gastro picnic food was for sale to raise funds for the London Parks & Squares Trust.
Belgravia Square is quite a special space and the keyholders certainly seem to make the most of it.
