Gardening Articles 2019
The more I garden the more difficulty I have staying on one task. Gardening articles need to be clearly in focus, with the writer staying (hopefully) on one topic. But alas - I'm becoming more and more haphazard, in both my gardening and writing habits. My mind flits here and there, and I suspect I've already written down most of what I know anyway. After all, thoughtful article writing does require research, and some originality. Oops. I'll try and do better in 2019!

Get the name right!...

Talking to the Garden Club...
- I'm giving a talk at the local Garden Club this afternoon. Aargh! Why did I say yes? Because I'm full of hot air and big ideas, and overflowing with self-esteem. Oops. Hope the audience isn't too serious. Because gardening for me is so full of silliness and fun, daft struggles, irrational dreams...

Mid-Autumn Colours...
- It's mid-autumn, in the gardening year 2019, and I've been out and about taking photographs of autumn colours. But it's not all about the deciduous tree leaves turning gold and red. There's so much else to marvel at : brights, pales, blushing pastels, screaming fire-engine reds...

Shifting Roses......
- Shifting roses - when is the best time? When is it sensible to dig up a rose and plant it elsewhere in the garden? Can you really shift a rose in high summer? Aha! Best not to listen to my advice. I'm rather naughty - I shift roses any time I remember to.
