Hebes
Hebe Flower Closeup
Hebes are great little shrubs for the garden, and are so well behaved that they have been granted their own links page. They always look good, whether the gardener remembers to prune them after flowering or totally forgets about them.
They are New Zealand natives, and the species hebes can easily be seen in the New Zealand bush. Hebes get a lot of good mentions in gardening books from other countries, and promise a variety of leaf styles, flower colours, and flowering times. There are over 100 species.
