Yellow Viola Flowers
When I'm developing a new area I often plant in some violas - the perfect annuals for providing instant colour and covering up the bare soil. Much better than weeds, that's for sure!

Buying new seed packets is exciting - the variety names certainly are. Often violas in my garden will over-winter and reflower next spring. Nice! I love the self-seeded ones - they are often the prettiest.
