Tea Time in the Garden

New Table and Chairs
On the back lawn by the Sleep-Out you'll see some second-hand garden furniture - a comfortable wooden bench, and a round table with two seats. For the local Garden Club visit I added a cute little tea-set, to set the scene ready for summer refreshments. And hopefully amuse the visitors...
2009 was my busy year for dressing up and accessorising the Moosey Garden. I wanted more garden seating, and began searching in online auctions and Charity shops.
Bargain Furniture
Bargains were soon snapped up, and this set of dark green wooden furniture (which I always promised to paint a more interesting colour, and never did) was purchased for twenty dollars and installed on the back lawn by the Olearia hedge. It was lovely spot for a cup of tea.
Silly...
Then came my silliest purchase - a child's tea-set with cute animal faces, delicately placed on a nice embroidered cloth with the words 'tea time'. Hee hee.

Garden Tea-Set
Big Fluff-Fluff the cat spent a lot of time around the Sleep-Out, and I often found him sitting on the table. And not once did he knock over any cups or saucers down. He was the heaviest of cats, with the lightest tread.

Fluff-Fluff and the Tea Set
Of course, a few weeks after the Garden Club visit I brought the tea set inside, knowing that it wouldn't weather the weather, so to speak. I may have been silly, but not that silly!
