I thought the guy was going to break into song, for a minute. But yes, they certainly look good for only 30 days. Do you have a Glasshouse, Mac? It might be a little less expensive. I hate to think what the cost of raising 17 lettuce, every 30 days, might be?? I mean they won't keep if you pick them all, and they could get to a giant size and it could be the day of the Triffids, all over again??
I know that, in Canberra, it is very cold in winter; my uncle used to live in Donaldson st. Braddon and when I was a kid, bearing in mind that I am now 67, we'd visit on occasions. Paddling in the Cotter in summer, still cold water, brr! The one thing that Canberra had all the time in Summer was flies! They lived opposite the high school and in the morning, us kids would pick mushrooms off the playing field for uncle Frank's breakfast. Bit of nostalgia, there.
