Okay, I've paired each of three views with one like it from five days ago. So two you've already seen although I cropped Heidi out of an old one to more nearly approximate the new one. I've also included one from Sunday, a close crop from the side, with its counterpart today. Looks like it might actually be about a foot longer I would guess. The stalk should turn a bright maroon an the flowers will be bells that hang down and have green in them. What blows my mind is how high up they might be since the stalk emerges from the plant above my waist height.

Yes that does seem quite a fair amount of growth in one day!

Well actually five days. But this sort of growth still amazes me.

Not quite. Lots of flower stems have unfurled from the main stem but no buds or flowers yet. (The lowest of these is above my eye level and the top is well beyond my reach from the ground.) I took this one this week after returning from Hawaii.

A friend took this one of Lia and I at lunch at Waikiki beach on Oahu.

Aww, that's a nice picture of you. :)
The garden is looking lovely even if the flower is still keeping us waiting....

Hello again. I recently returned from a garden tour in San Diego. While there a friend took this picture of me. I don't usually wear glasses but they are needed to see what's in focus on my camera.

And here are some recent photos of that Beshornaria albiflora from various angles which I'd talked about a while ago. It is quite mature now, complete with a pile of spent flowers on the ground below. But it still looks good.

Great pics, and looking even better on my new computer. Do we get to see any more of the garden tour? I love having the opportunity to visit other people's gardens.
