Hmmm. Our A-season is never as impressive as that down South. This year nothing is going to plan. The claret ashes have denuded tops, burgundy middles, and green bottoms. Green bottoms is never a good look for an Autumn tree! The golden poplars are looking tired but not yet yellow. The ginko has dropped all its leaves already. The tupelo is looking pretty in red and the forest pansy is divine as usual, with deep maroon leaves. The 200-odd cherries on the driveway have yet to change a leaf.

Tell me Moosey, is the dark huchera in your April post all one plant? Mine seem to take years ans years to fill out.

heuchera

Oops - me replying to a missed question. That Heuchera is a lot of newly divided plants, about eight. For once, they seem to have grown really well. I find it a rather hit and miss perennial, though, depending on where I plants it. Anything too dry - hopeless! I love the hybrids with fancy leaf colours, but have never thought they'd 'last' here.
Cheers, Happy Heuchering, M
