29 Sep '06 5:04 pm My tricolor flaxes have tiny cherry red stripes as well as the green and cream. I think your flax might be Cream Delight. Looks like the Cream Delights here in my garden.
Flax names are difficult to be totally sure about, though, as leaves can lose certain colours and revert to the species. Hmm...

Thank you for the quick response. It's hard to tell from the photo I posted, but there are red stripes on the edges of the leaves. If you look at the top-left corner and the bottom-middle of the photo, you can see the red coloration I'm referring to.
In any case, would it be safe to assume that the plant in the photo is some type of flax (Phormium sp.)?

29 Sep '06 5:49 pm I see them! Definitely a Phormium hybrid. My tricolor is a large flax, and doesn't really have a weeping form - it's semi-stiff like the Phormium Tenax species.
Mind you, I say it's a Tricolor because that was on the label. Hmm!!!!! It's quite an old hybrid. Good luck.
