Ah, I wanted to see the New Zealand Hairless Dog.
20 Dec '07 5:09 pm Ah come on, Mary. We could all use a good laugh during this hectic season. How about a photo of the naked one?
I have some idea because late every spring I buzz cut my Aussie Fletcher. They don't take him all the way down to skin but he is one very skinny boy under all that hair. He always looks to me like an adolescent boy in his tight-fitting pajamas. They never seem to cut the hair on his head or face. As a result it looks like the head of a much bigger dog has been sewn onto this very scrawny little dog. The first time my sister in law saw him like this she started calling him "big head". Frankly I think his self esteem suffers without his fluffy fur. With his long hair he'll stand toe to toe and eye to eye with a Rotweiller with easy confidance. Without the hair I think all the laughing may be giving him a complex.

24 Dec '07 11:38 am Ha! Rusty the hairless dog now has his own page - well, we summer gardeners don't have anything to do except write silly dog-stories, do we? It's not like there are weeds out there...
Thanks, you two, and Liza I'm glad you enjoyed! And if anyone notices that my photographs have improved, well they haven't. Lovely son-in-law is taking lots of new pet photos for me. He sees the animals in quite a different way.
Cheers!
