Hello!28 Apr '07 2:41 am
I'm not just new to this forum, but new to blogs entirely.....please forgive me for not having a clue what to do here!
I am a part-time amateur gardener in Eastern PA with a wonderful one-year-old pup who has turned my front "garden" into what looks like a pro football team's practice field. Plus, she loves vegetables...no cherry tomatoes for me...!

Hello Julia and welcome to the Forum. You will find your way around very quickly and we would all love seeing more of your pictures. Your Avatar and the picture you posted of your puppy are great, so I'll bet you have more.

Welcome, Julia!
I know how you feel, for months I was scared of the forum, and I jolly well own the thing! Actually, 'Own' isn't at all the right word - we all own it!
Welcome, and please post some more pictures. It's the perfect thing to do on rainy, or cold days when the garden isn't so appealing. I love that puppy dog!
Cheers.

Hi again Julia28 Apr '07 12:38 pm
I guess you know your photo didn't come through, but don't dispair. It took me forever to get photos to post. (I may be the only one here who uses a Mac.). There are a few areas in life where I have to be the expert but thank god this isn't one. My learning curve has not been exemplary.
The dog in your avatar looks almost like one of those wild african dogs from what we can see, but I'm guessing German Shepard with a nice black mask.

Thanks!1 May '07 8:35 am
Thank you everyone for a warm welcome! I was almost too chicken to post...
Re: photo deletion - no apology necessary - I'll post them again. I'll include one of my cat - his name is Fox but I mostly call him "Nasty Spumante" or some other colorful names I won't mention here!

Hello again Julia. Glad to see you returned your photos, plus Fox. He is such a cutie. How could you possibly call him bad names? Just kidding, of course. I'll bet he is a little imp. I can tell from the way he is playing the ham for your camera.

Hi Faith -
Yes, I like to call Fox the Essence of Evil, but really he's wonderful and I love him. Sketch gets called a lot of names, too, I should have named her based on my first impulse - Attila the Hound. But it's odd, how no matter how insane your pets might make you, somehow they always end up being the most perfect pets in the world.
I have to ask - your Avatar of the hummingbird - is that one of your own photos? I had a hummingbird moment once and it reminded me of how amazing a moment it was...
