21 Apr '07 1:10 pm Like Liza I feel only appreciation and no thought of complaint about this wonderful site you've created, but I wonder if it would be possible to send a batch of photos as an email attachment which could automatically be downloaded? A feature like this is in use at the Flickr site though I have no idea how it is done. Like you I think of Liza loading each photo one at a time. I suspect she may be a saint. She is definitely very generous to us all and any magic you are able to work will be appreciated.

email to upload photos
26 Apr '07 6:32 am Mark,
A good suggestion, Flickr's email to upload photos option is very cooooool - I really like Flickr - the layout, navigation, thumbnails and all the options and features that make it so easy to use. I also like the 'IPOD White' design - everything is simple.
The moosey forums WILL support email to upload, but only after we get our own Moosey server (the computer the site and forums and galleries run on) and I have total control over how email is handled.
Eventually everyone will have their own personal 'photo gallery' displaying all of the pictures they've uploaded as well. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to see all of say Jack's photos together
Hmmmm... back to the Moosey server and as to when that will be - certainly not before the very end of this summer and maybe not for another year - The site creaks a bit now and then but is generally reliable (says the webmaster!)

Hi Eggy (do people really call you that?)
26 Apr '07 7:10 am It is reliable. I was just showing my wife around it last night. I was showing her some of Jack and Liza's photos as well as some I'd up loaded. She really liked the size the photos open up to. She shows her art work at her website: liacook.com where she has a lot of photos and other info that someone helped her install. Her pictures open faster, but as she pointed out they were much smaller with a lot less detail. She downloaded on of Jack's and opened it into photoshop to show me how large a file it was. I never knew you can save it with so much less bytes and then get the bytes back when the photo is opened. Long story short, she liked it very much. I'd forgotten that at Flickr you can only send 5 at a time by email so it isn't that much better than just loading them there directly.
What could help here at Moosey's would be to be able to choose several photos and then have them all upload while you go do other things, rather than waiting for each choice to upload separately. Regardless, what is so much better here is that people communicate more than one sentence at a time and the focus is on our own gardens except when go to the forum for other places.
