Sharing a friend's happiness!6 Mar '07 10:40 pm
Thank you, my good Gordon! It is so important, you see , to feel that your friends share your happiness/joy/welfare, as much as your sorrow! And you are one of them!
Remember, I told you the other day, how "clever" these sites are, apart from offering you a creativity, joy, and fulfillment. Because , if you have all your best photos arranged in there, not only they have your own identity and style in a certain way, but they are also protected , in case something happens to your computer! Even more, you can send photos to your friends from anywhere, by simply showing them in there through the link. Even more, it is a living community with enormously talented people! Seeing other people's talent in there,it filled me with awe! Such a talent, an ART! I feel so humble in there, and this is good, because I am not antagonistic or competitive by nature.
Concerning making business, I have not that style at all, too, being a salary-paid teacher all my life. I could only survive as a gardener, a priest, a social worker, a teacher, or a nurse...That also, of course, does not mean that I do not have my very special artistic -- Coral Peony!! -- self!
And, it is wonderful to hear you created more videos! Now I know where to find you! And I hope your...lasagna were.....MMMMM the other day! I admire so much all the men that cook!!
See you later! Be happy! Hugs to your Joey! |

Dear Liza, I am glad that Gordon posted his comments on this thread, giving me an opportunity to view your lovely roses again. I can't wait for summer to come to your garden again so that we can see some more of your beautiful flowers.
To Gordon, congratulations on your early retirement. Having just done that myself, I can highly recommend it. I love having the freedom to go out into my garden during these early spring days instead of sitting in an office during all the daylight hours. Best of luck with your renewed interest in photography. I told my spouse last week that, for my birthday in May, I want a new digital camera. I am disappointed by the quality of the close-up pictures my old one makes. Here's hoping we both can get some really good shots this coming season.
Cheers to all! |

Isn't is nice to think that there will always be ONE ROSE blooming in one of our gardens, every single day of the year? I am right, aren't I? It's like a rose thread which is never ever broken. |

Hi, everyone!
Thanks so much, Faith and Liza, for the kind comments! It'll be lots of fun seeing everyone's collections of pictures and being able to share mine this new growing season! I don't feel right, somehow, about posting "old" pictures of my garden, and I wasn't a member last summer.
And, Moosey, you're quite right - with a website like this we can all see a rose every day, all year! It sure helps one get through the dark, cold days of winter to know that summer really IS happening somewhere on the planet, and to see that other gardeners are busy weeding, watering, planting and enjoying the fruits of their labours!
Cheers, all!

Dear Liza, I too wish I could be there in person to see your beautiful garden. You never know, it could happen. I love having visitors to my garden as well and am expecting a VVIP person this summer. If any of the Forum friends ever happen to be in my neck of the woods they are very welcome to "Come bide-a-wee with me."
And Gordon, don't be shy about posting old pictures of your garden even before you were a Forum member. They're still all about you and your garden.
To Mary, yes that is a wonderful thought about roses blooming somewhere every day of the year. That could be expanded to the sun shining somewhere every day of the year, or friendships blossoming on this site every day of the year. Thanks again to you and to Eggy for providing us with this fantastic site.
Can you all tell that the sun is shining outside my window today and I am about to head out into a beautiful spring day? |
