Ok, one more admission here: I already did the checking for seedlings thing with my sweet peas last year; every time I went outside, I just had to count how many I had then and went skipping back inside to report to hubby who just laughed (the old meany! )
I have heard of those tomato grow bags - they do sound good; the only problem is that this particular area where I'm going to put them is cobbled, so it would give an uneven growing depth I think. Ok, I don't really know if/how it would affect the toms, but I just don't fancy the idea really! Plus, a nice container would look much better and it's just a good excuse to buy something fun really!!
