17 Mar '05 8:05 am Rose 5 looks awfully like a couple of roses I saw yesterday at the rose sale (oops) - one was called Iced Ginger, and the other had the word Coffee in the name. I've just checked the rose book - the colour of their Iced Ginger is different...
The yellow rose 11 could be Friesia. Looks like my Friesia. Hmm....
Yellow 10 looks a lot like a David Austin yellow in my garden - Molyneux is its name. It would have been introduced into NZ about 8 or 9 years ago.
Rose 3 the creamy yellow looks like a rose I have which I always thought was Roydon. If it's Roydon it is beautifully fragrant - noticeably so, you couldn't miss the perfume. I think Roydon is a NZ-bred rose.
My goodness this rose identification is rather random and vague! Tell you what - I am willing to return to the rose sale, even if there is a small personal cost to muself, just so I can check identification of the others!

17 Mar '05 4:59 pm The 'coffee' one you mentioned wouldn't be 'Spiced Coffee' would it? We have that rose and its a pale purple in colour.
David Austin - Graham Thomas?
11 could be Friesia - I agree that it would be.
#3 as Roydon I'm not sure about. I seem to have misplaced my rose encyclopedia so can't look up the roses to identify them.
