Hi Moosey! I love your nickname. I haven't checked out the entire website yet. So far it's great. I live in zone 4 and have plants around most of my house, but in my backyard I am trying to create a woodland garden. In my woodland I have several fairies peeking out of my plants. The last couple of years in my garden I have been digging up Buckthorn (what a job this has been). It's been a bear to dig up. In fact almost my entire woodland is Buckthorn that will have to be replaced with something else (not sure what to use). Well that's all for now because I am at work (need to get email set up at home). P.S. I write a gardening newsletter here at work (the Minneapolis Public Library) and I belong to a local garden club. Happy Gardening!!! Jan

Hi Mossey, I have so much enjoyed your March Entry. You remind me so much of myself, i adore working in my garden and so much look forward to holidays so i can spend time pottering as you call it. We call it puttering around. I run into the same problems you have....... self seeding agh!!! March here is the begining of spring so it is my favorite time of the year, im rushing around trying to get as much done as possible before it gets to hot, it gets in the high nineties in july and august, and it is very humid. I've gotten very ambitious this year and extended some of my beds, which is very hard because we have clay in our soil which has to be removed. but it is worth it. In the evenings when i take my garden stroll i'll be glad i did it. Your big flowing beds were an inspiration to me. I have read every word on your website and i love everything about it, and look forward to new entries. Please let us know how your holiday gardening went. Your fellow garden lover Dawn |
