I have just order one of these for my brother, does anyone have one of these growing? Any problems or tips that I should be passing on?

Hi Nia!

It is in fact not bred by Austin, but by Frank Cowlishaw, a leading amateur breeder in the UK.

It is an amazing rose, not least because it has lime green foliage, unlike many other 'blues' that tend to dark reddish foliage. It tends to grow quite upright and tall (2 meters). I have heard it recommended for pillar and climber treatment, but mine (2nd summer beginning now) is behaving as a large shrub.

I have a new R'n'B rose and can't wait to see it flowering. It's next door to a brand new prissy white Margaret Merrill - wnder if this is a good idea? That's the joy of gardening, I guess. Whenever I've really tried to colour co-ordinate plants I find to my embarrassment that they don't flower at the same time - so it doesn't really matter!

Rhapsody in Blue is indeed a beautiful girl. unfortunately mine didn't take to the move up to Central Vic and is sadly deceased

I found her a little bit prone to black spot but otherwise ok.
