As I told you last week, I have now got a lovely heap of horse dung steaming away in readiness for next year. But this week I have been able to add to the immediate fertility of my garden by getting a load of ready made compost from the local refuse tip ---- it is our garden refuse from last year turned into superb dark brown, friable soil. For the cost of a sore back and £2.70 I brought back 500 Kg of goodness. It doesnt take much to make this 70 year old happy! Regards Gerry |

Steaming dung! The perfect gift for a hands-on gardener wearing gloves! What a good place to get your compost, Gerry. Answer me this - is it exactly your very own garden refuse? Now that wuld really add the personal touch. |

You don't need gloves Moosey. No it is not my own garden refuse being returned to me, it is someone elses --- I put all my garden waste in my compost bins. You really can't have too much of a good thing can you? Regards Gerry |
