My name is Njoan and I am new to the Mooseyscountrygarden web site and the garden forums.
I have been gardening for the past 12 years. I was not sure I would like it, since plants I tried to grow indoors would die. But, after that first summer attempt and nothing died I found out I have a knack for it. I started out with a little 3x3 area and 11 years later I created 12 gardens in my 1 acre area. Sadley I had to give up my gardens and 120 yr. old house and moved to a rental house. It was heartbreaking to leave most of my "babies", but I was able to dig up a few of my favorites to take with me to my new home. And, I found out the one great thing about gardening is you can always start over again! My motto is "so many plants so little time and money".
Gardening has become my passion, it is relaxing, grounding, rewarding, the joy of it feeds my soul,(after all how can you get mad at a plant?). That is why I was so excited to discover this web-site, so that I can talk with other gardeners who share the same passion.

....you have, dear Njoan! I was so touched , because you call your plants "your babies", like I do! I don't think I could ever leave my babies behind .. Moving from the previous house , a rental house , to our own present house, I carried with me almost all the plants I had planted there during the 4 years of our stay!! Exactly like Bambi's parents!
All your feelings about gardening are more or less the same with ours, all of us, the fans of this exceptional gardening website! Welcome aboard, dear friend! Be happy and....happy gardening! |
