Aeonium22 Oct '04 8:26 am
Now I have a question. I saw a lovely picture of an aeonium on this website which led me to join the forum .... the question is can anyone give me more than the most basic of information on how to treat my aeonium? I live in southern Pennsylvania, and have my a. in a south facing window in the kitchen. When I got it, the rosettes were quite full, but they have gotten increasingly leggy and the bottom leaves shrivel and drop off on a regular basis. I have tried watering more, and watering less, and it doesn't seem to make any real difference. Help! |

Aeoniums go leggy with age.It is a good idea to cut the rosettes off and replant them to keep a well shaped plant. They grow outdoors here in a sheltered place, but most people grow them in pots. I've seen several lately with huge greeny-yellow flower 'cones'- especially nice against the dark foliage. I have a plate shaped green one and I'm wondering whether it will stay flat or will go leggy. |
