Spring sneaking in...
25 Aug '06 11:47 pm Mon 21 Aug: Hallo dear friends! On Sunday afternoon I could walk on the farm, the first time this week; I have been away from home for 14 hours a day, working on the school play after school hours. Things are coming along nicely – but there is much to be done still before we open on the 31st…
So here is a ‘photo essay’: winter lurks everywhere even as spring is happening all over! (Please – who recognises the lovely blue groundcover? Flowers are 1cm across and the whole matt-forming plant is only a few cm high. It is evergreen for me, and thrives on neglect.)
Fri 25 Aug: I do believe I am finally sending this off – two pics taken this morning…
26 Aug '06 6:01 pm After Winter ,the first deciduous trees to show new life here are the willows .As soon as we see them greening by our pond ,we always say "Ah -Spring .The willows are turning green "

27 Aug '06 8:02 am Summer is just drawing to a close, here on the baled prairie. Still hot in the day, but the nights are starting to cool off and the sun is setting noticeably early-er. Flowers are going to seed too.
How nice it would be to have a home in both hemispheres so you could aways have spring and summer.
I must say that I am looking forward to the long nights and frosty air and the cozy feeling the house has through the long dark of winter. Time for other pursuits.
I think I know the blue creeper, but i am not sure. The flowers look the same, but the foliage seems different.
27 Aug '06 9:28 am I do like your colour combinations ,Garden Gnome ,they are so cheery .Actually ,I was looking at the challenge Jack put forth to identify the blue creeping plant ,and I was wondering if it is 'Baby Blue Eyes ' .I have just planted some seeds and this is the seed packet .It is of the variety 'Teardrop' because each flower has a little teardrop on it .I am going to plant them in the fairy garden.
