David Austins Revisited20 Aug '06 8:33 am
Back in (can it be!) Sept. '05, I moaned and complained about the poor showing of my DA's. They must have been listening, called an emergency meeting, and decided t'was time to perform. They've been stellar this summer, well, with one exception due more to black spot intransigence than flower production. I have found that they do better planted amidst the perennials, and I like the overall effect better than a bed devoted to roses. Probably heretical of me; perhaps I can plead micro climate adaptations. My advice to anyone having rose trouble, therefore, is to post a shot across the bows on Moosey's rose forum. Worked for me! |
