RED RED GERANIUM27 Jul '06 7:18 am
Hey Everone!
Just wanted to share this photo of my Geranium. I put it out on the deck rail yesterday to try and attract some butterflies to photograph. It hasn't worked so far, but we have had a hummingbird check it out several times.
Is there not much nector in Geraniums? He never seems to 'feed' more than a second, but he keeps coming back. I have got to dig out my feeders and hang them out. We have been here almost a year and there is still so much I have never unpacked. Of course that's because the house is for sale and when it sells...we have to move.

I watered the Germanium when I watered my tomato plants on the deck and it looked so pretty with the water drops, I just had to take a picture.

LOOKING OUT MY FRONT DOOR.jpg
I know this photo isn't of a plant or garden, but I love clouds and this was the view out my front door this morning. Can't we say it's about the trees and make it legitimate?

Flowers do look different when wet. My Deb's mom loves Geraniums as her favorite flowers. Deb found some interesting Geranium plants that are hybrids. I'll post some pix for you.

MARTHA WASHINGTON HYBIRD29 Jul '06 12:57 am
Christopher, may I share the photo of the Martha Washington geranium with a women's Yahoo group? They were admiring my geranium and I just can't stop talking about the Martha Washington.
Of course I'll list the photo as yours and give your webpage a plug if you would like.
Thanks so much.

Geraniums and pots and windowboxes ---they just go together ,don`t they ...especially white painted....
Do you line your wooden boxes with plastic or are they all right just filled with soil ?I am enjoying reading about the American birds ,as they are unknown here.. My geraniums are all leafing beautifully now ,ready for Spring ,so I will enjoy showing photos later ,too .

Go right ahead and share the pic. Tell them "A garden Gnome showed me."
That Martha Washington geranium is a big favorite of many guests to our garden.

THANKS CHRISTOPHER!29 Jul '06 7:08 am
I appreciate it, Christopher...funny you should make a comment about 'tell them a Garden gnome showed me.' This morning when I was showing Mother the picture on the computer and telling her about the gnome you were carving, she did not understand me at first.
She ask, "Did you say that you 'knew' a gnome? When I was a little girl I believed in fairies, gnomes and leprechauns. If you have 'known' a gnome all this time and didn't tell me, I was really going to be mad!"
After we cleaned up the coffee I sprayed all over both of us when I tried to swallow it quickly before I started laughing...we reminisced about when my grandchildren lived with us and we watched a cartoon about gnomes with them, and enjoyed it ever bit as much as they did. I wonder if it is still on? Hummm...

Norvona: Thanks for posting that lovely fiery red geranium, reminding me that I had one close to a year until early this month when it died due to overwatering I think, quite similar to your shade though not as lovely without the water drops
Christopher: Wow, that 'Martha Washington' is gorgeous, definitely outstanding in its mult-toned shade. Thanks for sharing.
Dixie: Looking forward to seeing yours soon
