Winter Has Arrived15 Aug '04 10:30 am
I was just reading Moosey's weekend diary and all the work she has done in the Hump , well I bet this morning she is sitting inside with a hot drink and the cats and Stephen for company and they are all watching the snow falling. It is coming down thick and fast as I write this, in half an hour we have gone from green paddocks to white ones.
Yesterday I planted my Heirloom tomato seeds, despite knowing the weekend weather forecast, now there's a gardeners optimism for you.

Winter in the Garden17 Aug '04 6:35 am
Welcome to the forums, Swallowstitch
It sounds like you are well in the throws of winter there - snow! Moosey has just sent me a picture of the snow in her garden, only a day after sending a picture of the first daffodils! (Soon to go in the August journal.)
It seems so far away from the tropical summer storms causing floods here in the UK. Our time will come
Is the snow settling? I'd love to see a picture if you have one. |

I have sent through a photo of my place under snow in the Your Garden forum, but umm, ahh, I sort of doubled up on the pic whilst practising my attachment uploading. Will do better next time.
Shall I put some in a freezer bag and send it ASAP to Auckland, Pumpkin? |
