15 Jun '04 6:26 am The Moosey's UK Garden Paparazzi visited some of London's Private Garden Squares yesterday including the British Medical Association's Garden and Belgravia Square.
Coverage will follow shortly in a newly created ENGLISH GARDENS section which we'll expand on throughout the Northern Hemisphere Summer.

1 Aug '04 12:49 am Thanks for the subject. It has been a few years since I was in London (1st time) and stayed down near Victoria Station. The park squares were the first thing we enjoyed. What a nice way to bring some 'green' into the city.
Are these parks also called key parks, as it requires a key to enter? And keys are given only to residents of nearby housing?

London Squares - Key Gardens
3 Aug '04 6:35 am Welcome to the forums
We only got to visit 6 of the 120 gardens during the event but we did hear the expression 'Key Garden' several times.
This BBC News London Parks article talks about key gardens. I've seen some beautiful private gardens between Victoria and Chelsea - usually only from the tops of buses though.
The Highlights of our london garden squares tour were the British Medical Association garden with its natural healing themes and the walled Belgravia Square Gardens, a beautiful inner city retreat.
The private nature of the gardens made you feel more privilidged - especially in Belgravia. I won't spoil the upcoming article but here is a small selection of photos from our visit.
