Breadcrumbs and Navigation Changes26 Jul '04 1:21 am
Good afternoon gardeners!
I've made some substantial changes to the site today. I've never been entirely happy with the sites navigation system and have made some changes. The most obvious is the YOU ARE HERE / Breadcrumbs to show where you are in the 1100+ pages that make up mooseys country garden.
The mooseyscountrygarden.com picture strip on the top of every page is having the section text removed. They're much nicer with less writing scribbled on them.
These changes should make the site easier to use and allows us to add large complex sections to the site like the Hampton Court Flower Show Coverage.
The boxes around the DATE and the NEXT and PREVIOUS navigation arrows have gone. Some of the arrows and boxes were are bit too strong - I've toned these down to give the site a more minimal look.
These changes include a new database structure and lots of fundamental changes to the database engine - please let me know of any errors or problems. |
