Great Gardening Magazine3 Jul '04 12:08 am
Recently while at the London Squares & Trusts event, I was given a few free copies of Which? Gardening magazine. I'm hooked on the magazine already, and I don't even have a garden
Which? is a British consumer research institute which is funded entirely by subscription to its magazines, and not thru advertising. Which? has been running in the UK for many years and is a very reliable source of impartial consumer research - no new purchase is allowed to enter our household unless it is the Which? Best Buy.
I was pleased to see that Which? have expanded their remit to include gardening - the magazines are a fantastic read, full of really practical tips tried & tested in their and the members' gardens. Trials vary widely in topic - companion planting, soil-testing kits, new hanging basket plants and patio heaters are just some of the gardening products and methods on trial.
The magazine also reviews gardening techniques, plants and garden design. There is a monthly Masterclass, info on gardening events and news, a gardening Agony Aunt to advise on how to nurse your plants back to health, and an 'Action Now' section to help you plan the coming month in the garden. This huge amount of useful info is supported by beautiful photos throughout.
Which? Gardening magazines are published monthly, and you can subscribe on a quarterly basis (or longer if prefered) for £13.75 per quarter (postage outside of Europe is an extra £10 a year). They are also currently running a 3-month free introductory offer.
Example features and information about the free trial are both available on their website.
Do you think they'll give Moosey a free subscription if I enthuse about it enough?! Worth a try |
