London's Garden Squares29 May '04 8:59 pm
I've always intrigued and envious of London's more than 600 Garden Squares.
Some of them are open to all but the most interesting looking ones always seem to be private, gated and locked to anyone but the residents that surround them and the invited few. By foot you don't see much and the cities trademark double decker buses only improve the vantage point slightly
On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of June 2004 More than 80 of London's Garden squares are open to the public and the Mooseys Country Garden UK team will visit them.
The event is being run by the London Parks and Gardens Trust, For further information about the event further visit : http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/london.gardens/squares/home.html
Some of these squares have a lot of history. They have been the private backyards of many famous people over the years. If there are any of the 80 listed that you'd like us to cover let us know |
