Hello, I was out walking my dog in a local wildlife nature reserve and saw this grass. Can anyone identify it please?

Looks a bit like the lillies in my pond...they just disappear too!

Was it a nice, friendly grass? Grasses are very much plants with personality - as varied as people, I reckon!

Yes, I rather thought so. The leaves with their mottled effect looked as tho they could have come out of Africa.
