What interesting things people do in my neighbourhood--a quiet no-exit road.
Here are photos of the January Lavender harvest at my neighbour`s place. They must be cut at the peak of summer heat.
The flowers are full of bees, doing what bees do.
After gathering,they are loaded into a horse float and taken on a journey of about 5 hours, to Gisborne, on the East coast, where the distillery will convert them into Lavender oil.
