The Royal Highness Rose.13 Nov '05 6:24 am
Hi, Nancy!
No, I had never heard about any of these Roses, nor had I grown them in my garden, of course.
But, I was so intrigued by the very fact that I had never heard of them! So, I started my so loved Rose search again, lost in my colorful Rose books...
And so, I only found the Royal Highness Rose mentioned, but so very famous and full of international awards!
I only tell you, that one of its parents is the SO famous, strong scented and SO beautiful Me A. Meilland (or Peace)! It repeats well, height and spread 1,75m(5,7 ft), Zone hardiness 6.
Well, if I were you, I would certainly choose the Royal Highness Rose!
Good luck, my friend! |

Hello Nancy, and my lovely friend Liza,
I haven't heard of either of these roses! I am about to check the big book of roses, like you Liza. Rose names are really fascinating, aren't they? I have just discovered the type of rose called a 'tea rose' - I have some new tea roses growing in the hazelnut orchard. The first few buds are really pointy. Beautiful! I wonder what their fragrance will be like?I need to do some more research!
Happy rose gardening, or rose reading! |

Royal Highness v Brides Dream1 Jan '06 11:21 am
I have both roses but prefer Royal Highness as it has a stronger perfume. Royal Highness also has a deeper pink centre.
Brides Dream is also known as Fairytale Queen. It is a pale pink with only a touch of perfume and fades to almost white. |
