One of our eminent NZ rosarians prefers and recommends Awakening over New Dawn - it's a relative (a sport?), I'm certain, with flowers that are more double, exactly the same colour, and longer lasting on the shrub. I've tried several times to order it, and it's always sold out, but I remember her words - and I trust her!
Not sure at all about Awakening in Texas, though! Good luck. |
