30 Jul '05 9:42 pm Moosey, the sole organiser and only judge of the annual Most Valuable Cat competition is concerned at rumours of a rival competition starting up!
Despite a recent injection of young and interesting animals into the mix, the annual Most Valuable Cat competition has always been dogged by controversy, amidst allegations of vote rigging and judging bias.
An anonymous antarctic scientist claimed the Most Valuable Cat competition had 'lost some of the prestige of its early years' and that in recent competitions, the head gardener and sole judge was - 'making it all up as she went along!'.
The rumoured new contest will be open to all moosey animals, past and present and everybody will get to vote, not just head gardeners...
The Annual MVC is a firm favourite with visitors so any newcomer will be up against it. Moosey has recently including an 'animal of the month' into her newsletter to strengthen her position and is privately dismissive of any new competition format.
More news on this exciting development soon!

1 Aug '05 3:47 am A good question Rebekah! When starting new moosey projects I tend to get a bit carried away. bex didn't understand what I was on about either and has told me off for 'babbling about something before it is finished'
I'm adding the finishing touches to an interactive 'Most Valuable Pet Competition' where anyone will be able to vote for their favourite moosey animal, It should be finished in the next week or so.

1 Aug '05 7:23 am The competition was fierce last time Rebekah! Claws, eye-balling, bribes....it was not pretty I tell ya! and that was just the judging
Stumpy is perfecting her hypnotic "..pick me, pick me.." stare I see
And, Rusty is growing in leaps and bounds! Have you noticed how HUGE he looks in his recent photos? A strong contender...

12 Aug '05 4:36 pm Nobody, and I mean nobody, with a shred of common sense and good judgement will put in one single vote for the poultry! As a group entry they are stretching the bounds of fair play. There should be a residency requirement to be a contender in this competition anyway - the rooster and hens have wandered off, after months of loving care and attention....
