18 Jul '06 8:26 pm Just popped in to deliver a photo of the garden this morning (8am)to add cheer to all those in more southern latitiudes who are in the depths of winter. Here in ol' blighty we are experiencing a heatwave. Yesterday, (17/7) I recorded 37C in the shade. Too hot for me, I was wilting. Doubtless in six months you will do the same and I will be green with envy of warmer days.
Moosey, contrast this with memories of the garden during your spring visit. The growth of herbaceous plants continues to amaze no matter how many times you see it.
19 Jul '06 6:59 pm looks lovely Michael.Pics like that are really appreciated at the moment with our cold drab weather. How are your plants coping with the heatwave?? I bet lots of water is required and I would love to know how your Furcraea is looking, Do you have a pic to share with us?

19 Jul '06 8:40 pm Goose,
Furcrea doing OK, but would make a poor photo just now. Next Furcrea update when new plantlets are developing.

19 Jul '06 10:16 pm Michael, I can just see you in the middle of your perennials, enjoying the warmth. Please put some more pix up! Us wintry NZers can use all the colour and heat you can capture! Can you take some of the walls with the climbers growing and blooming? Please?
