Here are some fotos to show how the flower plot looked last year. It looks different every year as we are constantly changing and moving things about...adding and removing.
These are not great fotos...but they give an idea.

Wow! your garden sceneries were spectacular, displaying a mixed variety of lush plants with beautiful, colorful blooms! Thanks Sjoerd, for sharing them and thanks to Dixie too for encouraging you to do so, otherwise we'd have missed viewing your 'great fruits of labor' Smile

Love those pics at your garden diary of its current status too, because it gives me a clearer perspective of real passionate gardening in countries with 4 seasons!

What a splendour, planted in the most natural , delightful way!

But I love ALL your plants!! Your bright red Crocosmias Lucifer! Your colourful Alcaeas! Your blue Delphiniums and Salvias/Veronicas!! Your golden Rudbeckias (or Heleniums...I think...)!! I love your Clematis Armandii . And your adorable Westerland , tell me : it is a Clematis planted at the other side of its Arc? Your two Buddleias and all your Lupins look just gorgeous!

Chuckle... your exuberance just thrilled me no end, Liza. It makes me feel reallly proud that another person can enjoy my garden as well. What an honour!
I thought I had answered this post of yours ages ago, but I don't see it. Please excuse my tardy response...especially when I am so thankful for your complimentary words.
The plant on the other side of the Westerland arch is another Westerland....AND a Lonicera. In fact there are Loniceras on both sides of the arch, along with the Westerlands. One of them has a very unusual appearance for a Lonicera. I will try and take a foto of it's flower when it blooms. It blooms early and there are buds already, no thanks to the cool weather. Wink
