I was going to post Rondel pics first - on the Rose Forum - but let me take you on a quick summer walkabout...
Well OK: walkabout is an exaggeration at this stage... just come and stand next to me for now

Jack, only one picture? (Although a very nice one.) More, more.

I could stand there in that spot for ages, Jack, just drinking in the view! But we all know there are so many more delights on your farm, surely you're not going to pin us to the spot?!

Where to start...7 Nov '07 4:55 am
I have so many pics... this afternoon in magical light I took 250 pics; that is not counting the 149 since Sunday late afternoon. But tonight I must get marking done and I shouldn't be here...
These I picked on the weekend. They stand on the windowsill at my desk.

One of the things I love about gardening is being able to bring a few of the blooms indoors, to enjoy when I can't be out in the garden itself.

I can almost smell the lovely scent that must be wafting around your desk as you work Jack. Good luck with the grade marking. We all hope it will go speedily so you will then have time for posting some of those pictures.

More pics (at last!)10 Nov '07 4:11 am
It is the season of the rose...
These first pics were taken yesterday afternoon and this afternoon. Others are a week old. We had 70mm overnight, which is the lowest reported. Neighbours 500m away at Cheerio had 77mm, and Aunty Corrie had over 100mm ( when her rainguage overflowed... ) As does our cup
Somewhere someone asked about 'Jack Two'. My main persona has reached maximum size and I can't load pictures, so I'm using this one until I either get allocated more 'space', or I revamp this one to look more like the other one
I have been checking on last year's posts: I will continue to build on my 'Anniversary Garden' and 'Rondel Garden' posts in the Rose Forum, as I think continuity is of value there - and they are both rose gardens first and foremost! But my last pic links back to the Rondel story: it is under the round slab that Francois originally wished to be buried!
