23 Aug '07 11:25 am Hi Faith,I loved the rose you put a pic of named'Frederick Mistral'.I went straight to my catalogues to find it.It looks a bit like an Austin rose -is it?Or is it an American bred rose?Is it a bush rose ,and is it the rose on the left of the sign in one of your beautiful photos in another topic? I love the delicate colour.

23 Aug '07 11:45 am Well I set off on a hunt for this rose,and found a delightful website...rose-roses.com
Here there are gorgeous photos, and a glowing description of Faith's rose.Apparently it is in the classification'Romantica' and was developed by Meilland in 1996.It is especially revered for its strong fragrance, and will grow very tall.

24 Aug '07 7:07 am I'm glad you found a source for this rose. I have had it in my garden for a number of years and it always performs well. The only downside is that if the weather is very rainy, the blossoms will spot and in some cases ball, but since we have had such a dry summer, they are just blooming beautifully. The fragrance is very special also. The buds are really beautiful because they have that perfect high point, but then they open to a flatter blossom.
