Spring fever

Spring fever!
Moments captured early this morning before going to rehearsals, and then again in the fading light, aware all the time of warmth and scents and a sense that Spring Day was FULL OF SPRING. (Usually by now we’ve had our first warmth and more often than not First of September brings a late cold snap – but this year is by the book.)
The ladder to the sleeping lof is visible on the right. The carpet used to be a good persian in red and green - but regular washing in situ has not done it much good. The joys of a house full of dogs...

There it would be in full glorious bloom by 25 Aug and drop smelly rotten fruit the birds wouldn't touch to attract millions of slugs between Xmas and NY ;-((

Chameleons
10 Sep '07 9:59 pm All winter 3 to 5 chameleons have sheltered near my front door at night. These pics I took on 2 Sept., knowing that soon they would depart. Dramatic changes have brought night temperatures of over 10 degrees, and only the smallest is now still regularly there.
