The garden in Spring bloom!14 Apr '07 9:15 pm
Yesterday I was watering the garden from 10am, until 6pm!! I only stopped for about 30' to have a light lunch... The garden was transformed during the last week , when I was away! The Clematis became double in size, one of the two Cherry Trees started blooming, almost all Tulips are in bloom, The Lilacs are about to start blooming..
It was very hot during my absence here, all days were sunny bright! Lovely! But my poor babies became awfully thirsty! Especially the tiny new ones...That is why I had to water all the borders.. My poor back was very brave...Here are some aspects of the blooming Spring situation..

What beauties!15 Apr '07 2:31 am
Dear Liza - what joy your spring garden brings! And how confusing I find your weather stories - half an hour of sudden snow But then I feel about snow like Europeans do about hippopotami... the last time I saw snow in the garden where I lived was in 1964! (And 50 km from here there is a 'beware of crossing hippopotami' road sign, and not too far from there a friend once apologised to me for the state of her garden 'which had been rather trampled by the hippo the previous night')

Pumkin, I missed you, too, I think I said it again somewhere else! I think all Spring gardens are so special! Either meadows, National, or private! I am so happy you like the garden! And Autumn is a lovely, very artistic, Season, I think...
Faith, I do hope you liked the garden, too (???). I am sure , yours is even more graceful and colourful!

Magnificent! Your photography is as stunning as your flowers.
I see that the height of spring is arriving in your garden
about a month or so after it has left my corner of the world.
And I can't help but notice that it is putting on a much more
polished performance for you than it did for me.
I'm thrilled at the prospect of being able to enjoy all the seasons
at once, visiting all of the moosey gardeners this way.
More, more, more . . . . . . Oh what a glutton I am.

Liza, you posted more pictures while I wasn't looking. I have missed my read of the Forum a couple of days lately and when I try to catch up quickly, I sometimes miss things. I was glad to see your beautiful gardens survived without you during your absence. The heart border is growing more lush and beautiful by the moment it seems. I loved all your brillient new photos. Isn't spring wonderful!
